Worshipful Master's Message
Brethren,
My first order of
business, since I am not as adept at telling jokes as the men or
man who have traveled this same road before me, is to leave that
area of expertise for them.
I would like to wish all
of the brethren, their families, and loved ones a very happy and
prosperous New Year. The New Year also brings a new look and new
membership to Greenleaf Lodge No. 561. As of December 27, 2001,
Barger Lodge No. 333 merged into and with Greenleaf Lodge No. 561.
I would like to officially welcome those brethren to our lodge
with open arms and open hearts, along with any other members from
any other lodges who would also like to make Greenleaf their home.
I truly believe in this unity we will be better and stronger.
Before I get ahead of
myself, I want to thank Brother Ralph H. Slider, P.M. for
installing me as Worshipful Master, as well as the other Past
Masters who were involved in the ceremony. It has been a long
travel through the chairs and now I feel privileged, honored, and
excited to be at the helm of the lodge. Words cannot express my
feelings of happiness, gratitude, and anticipation for the events
in the year to come. Congratulations also go out to the officers
who were elected, and thank you in advance to all the officers,
committee members, and brethren who will help carry the workload
this upcoming year.
The first stated meeting
of the year in January will feature a presentation by former Mayor
of Allentown, Joe Daddona, on his experience as Mayor and a Mason.
Brethren please attend
and share my first meeting as Worshipful Master and help welcome
our new members to their first meeting as members of Greenleaf
Lodge No. 561.
Happy New Year!!
Fraternally
