Worshipful Master's Message for January, 2005

     Dear Brethren,

Welcome to a new Masonic year.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank Brother Jim Flemming, Past Master, for a great year in 2004.

As mentioned in the letter I sent out a few weeks ago the theme I have chosen for this year is Three Knocks.  This refers to some thing I’d like to ask all of us to consider as this year progresses:

Attend at least one more Stated or Extra meeting or social function this year than you did last.
Try to do something every month with the Masonic principals in mind. (Give a brother a ride to Lodge, visit a sick brother, read a Masonic book, etc.)
Talk to one more good man about our fraternity.

If each of us were to do this our meetings and functions would be even more rewarding than they are now, and our great Lodge will continue to grow in strength.

To start this off I’d like to encourage you to attend our January Stated meeting where Br. Ralph Slider PM will present “Rusty Mason’s Night”.  This is always a fun and informative program, and is a great way to start off a new year, even if you haven’t been to Lodge for a while.

Lastly, Brethren, I’d like to remind you that Green Leaf Lodge belongs to all of us, and if everyone contributes just a little, the Lodge will prosper.  If there is anything that I can do to help you or the Lodge, please feel free to call, write or email me with your comments or suggestions.

I look forward to serving you this year.

PS: For anyone who needs some help pronouncing my name, just remember it rhymes with Dayton. Thanks Brethren.

Fraternally Yours,
