Worshipful Master's Message
Brethren,
Wow!
What a great turn out last month for our first Stated Meeting. I
want to thank everyone who took the time out of their busy
schedules to attend the meeting. Joe Daddona was a great speaker
as he shared some of his humorous experiences with us. I want to
also thank Brother Robert W. Steckel, District Deputy Grand
Master, for attending the meeting with us as well as the district
officers who accompanied him. One last person I cannot forget to
thank or else I will probably go hungry, is my mom who on very
short notice prepared a bounteous and delicious stewards report.
Some
upcoming events we have planned are a bus trip to New York City to
see a play, a trip to Atlantic City, and Ladies Night. The New
York City Trip will be on Saturday, April 20, 2002, to see either
The Crucible or The Phantom of the Opera. There are a limited
number of seats available so contact me or any officer as soon as
possible to purchase tickets. The Atlantic City and Liberty Bell
trip will be on June 1, 2002, more details will be announced as
time gets nearer.
The
February Stated Meeting will feature someone you may have seen on
television or in the newspaper recently, Steve Wheeler from the
Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office, Bureau of Narcotics
Investigation. Drug abuse is a prevalent and serious issue in
today's society. The job he and the other agents do to take drugs
and drug dealers off the streets and out of the hands of youths
are vital to ensure a prosperous and strong America. Brethren,
please attend this month's Stated Meeting and let's see if we can
top the attendance of last month. As always, any Brethren who need
transportation feel free to call any lodge officer to make
arrangements.
A note
to the Lodge officers: it is important for all of us to attend the
School of Instruction on the second Wednesday of the month so that
we can maintain the Greenleaf tradition of performing very
impressive ritualistic work.
Fraternally
Fred
