Worshipful Master's Message for March, 2004

                        Brethren,

Thank you to all, who came to our stated meeting in February, we had about 48 in attendance. Also to the brothers who came from Jordan, Potter, and Slatington Lodges, also one from Canada. We had three Brothers from Wyoming Lodge who came with Dr. James Jackson whose program on Prince Hall Masonry was very enlightening.

Our program for March is by Blaine Fabian, P.M. and Editor Emeritus of the Pa. Freemason Magazine. Blaine will talk on the subject of “Why Saints John”.

Well- a deep subject- I am still having fun thanks to a lot of people who are helping me. “Thank you all”. This is what our lodge is all about. NEW-NEW Bus trip to N.Y. for a play for Saturday May 1st , the play is “Sly Fox” with Richard Dreyfus. This play is just opening on Broadway. Written by Larry Gelbart who also was the head writer for “M*A*S*H” and also “A Funny Thing Happen on the Way to the Forum”. As you can tell, this must be a comedy. Cost is $105.00 each, which includes the bus breakfast, bus, and theater tickets. This is a good deal.

April 17th is Spring Gala night, see flyer in last months notice. Ham tickets for March drawing please help the worshipful master in this way by buying some. Palm Sunday April 4th there will be a free light lunch at the Temple from 12 noon to 2 PM. Fits right in between Church and the Valley of Allentown program. No tickets, no cost just good fellowship. Open to all, bring non-masons and others. Bus trip on June 19th to Grand Lodge for a tour and then on to Atlantic City. Those who have never been to Grand Lodge, this is the time to go, you all not regret it

Again I ask ALL Brothers to call one Brother they know, but have not seen in Lodge for sometime. To bring them along to our next stated meeting. Our attendance has gone up, it sure looks good and feels just right. Remember no test to get in.

March steward’s report will be sausage sandwich’s, O.K. Nick. Thanks Bill.

Yours in the Gentle Craft,

James E. Flemming
