Worshipful Master's Message for April, 2004

     Brethren,

Thank you to all that attended our March meeting! Blaine Fabian gave a very informative talk on, "Why the St. Johns." Thank you Brother Blaine. Our April speaker will be Dr. Ted Schick, Jr. of Muhlenberg College. I have heard Ted give a paper at the Pennsylvania Lodge of Research, and I am looking forward to his talk and so should you. Please come out to hear him.

Brothers - Dues - Dues - Dues, for those who have paid, thank you. But there are about 60 who have not paid. Larry Christman, P.M. has been working hard calling each one of you. Please send your dues now. Thank you Larry.

Well - as the President said - spring is here and a lot is happening in your Lodge. I need your support - only half the tickets are sold for the trip on Saturday, May 1'st to NYC, which is our first bus trip of the year. The play is "Sly Fox", a comedy, with Richard Dreyfuss. The cost is only $105.00 each which includes a light breakfast on the bus, transportation, and theater tickets. I have purchased the tickets, so this is a "go." If you can make this trip, please call me. Also coming is our Golf Outing on May 15'th. Looking forward to seeing our members for fun and fellowship. Mark your calendars for June 19'th - bus trip to Grand Lodge in Philadelphia, then on to Atlantic City. Grand Lodge is grand to see. (I know, bad pun.)

By the time you read this, our Palm Sunday lunch will be over. I know by the planning, that it was very good. Thank you to the committee. The District Spring Gala is April 17'th. Thank you to that committee as well. As you see, your Lodge is working hard to make your Masonic year a good one with lots to do.

Please call one Brother you have not seen in Lodge for some time, and bring him with YOU! If you have not been to Lodge this year, please come, as we will be more than glad to see you. Again, no test to get in - just your dues card.

To all the Brothers who are helping me, a big thank you. Also, an apology to Rodney Conn, P.M., give me another chance.

April's Steward's Report will be light, ice cream and pie, as Bill may be a father again at the time.

Yours in the Gentle Craft,

James E. Flemming
