Worshipful Master's Message for May, 2005Brethren, April Stated meeting truly made me proud to be a Mason and to be a part of this Lodge. Our program, a History of Greenleaf Lodge, was not only outstanding, but it showed the great enthusiasm that our Brothers, Jim Barbour and Brian Timms have for the Craft. It was interesting to hear the history told from two unique perspectives and the program was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Music also made a great showing at the meeting. Br. Glenn Hacker, PM gave an excellent Masonic Minute on Mason’s in music, and the Lodge enjoyed some fine organ music provided by Br. Jack Goodman. One of the pieces played by Br. Jack was an original composition by our Chaplin, Br. Russ Jackson. Good work. This month’s Stated meeting will be the last official visit by Br. Skip Steckel as District Deputy Grand Master. Brethren, please make a point to get to May's meeting. I'd like to fill the room to show our gratitude for all Brother Skip has done for us. We will be presenting the 25 and 50 year emblems in Lodge and will be having a special stewards report at Wert’s Cafe to honor the hard work and dedication of our 25 and 50 year members as well as Brother Skip. If you have an interesting story about Br. Skip, please be sure to share it with us then. Lastly, I would like to all of you to keep our Secretary, Brother David Gross, PM in your thoughts and prayers. Br. David has been in ill health lately, and we are looking forward to seeing him well again soon. He has worked tirelessly over the last several years in support of our Lodge, and he truly deserves your supportive words and a place in your devotions. Thanks to all of you who have contributed to make our fraternity and this Lodge great. Fraternally yours, Gaetan T. Giannini, WM
