Worshipful Master's Message for June, 2002Dear Brethren, The adage, time flies when you're having fun, is definitely applicable to this year. Over half of the Masonic year is through and most of the events and trips out of the lodge have already taken place. That being said, there is still plenty of work to be done before the Lodge goes dark for July and August. Last month, it was a pleasure to have Robert W. Steckel, District Deputy Grand Master accompanied by Worshipful Masters and officers of the 10'th Masonic District visit our lodge and to have the D.D.G.M. award our 50 year members with an emblem of gold. I want to also thank the golf committee for continuing the tradition by having a great outing, in spite of having cold and wet weather. My final note of appreciate goes to Rick Roesser, the chairman of the golf committee, and seemingly my other half for the past month or so, for organizing and overseeing the event and doing a stellar job. The June Stated Meeting will feature Tom Marshall from Bethlehem Recycling as our speaker. Strawberries and ice cream will be served at the stewards report. If you have not attended a meeting yet, please come out before the summer break. Because there will be no correspondence until the fall, I will here remark that on Sunday July 14, 2002 from 12-5 pm at Alton Park, we will be having our Demolay softball game and picnic. All are cordially invited to attend, more especially those with spry legs and strong arms. Have a Great Summer ! Fraternally |
