Worshipful Master's Message for November, 2004Brethren, At the October Stated Meeting, there were 5 newly made Master Masons in attendance. It was great to see the new faces, but we can do better than 5. We had 19 participants in the One-Day Class. MENTORS, contact your men and encourage them to attend the meetings. They need to sign the Lodge Registry (which dates back to the beginning of Greenleaf Lodge) and has been signed by every new Mason after receiving the Entered Apprentice Degree.
Brother Jerry Hamilton was our speaker and what a great job he did! He even covered the North side of our Lodge during his talk. One of his moral points was to never leave a Brother sitting alone. If we don't know someone (like our 19 new members) go sit and talk, then we will know him. Problem solved.
We are still doing Degree work. Mentors, please bring your newly made Mason to see these Degrees. There will be a Fellowcraft Degree conferred on Monday evening, November 22'nd. Let's all get out and support the officers.
Our annual banquet had over 90 people in attendance. This was a great night and a special thanks to Frank Weland (of the Morning Call) for his talk on Gen. Trexler. Also, we had a bus trip to New York City to see the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall. Forty four members, family and friends made this trip, some with their Grandchildren. This trip was for children and family.
Our November Stated Meeting will be our annual Memorial Service, please attend. See you at the Stated Meeting, as always, there is no test to get in!
